June 16, 2006 - A new version of Adobe Reader 7.0.8 for Windows and Mac OS has been released, which corrects vulnerabilities with various ratings, among other improvements.

According to the bulletin released by Adobe, one of the vulnerabilities fixed is considered critical for the Mac OS platform, where as those affecting Windows have a low risk rating.

Although the details of the problems resolved have not been released, the Adobe ratings classify as critical risks vulnerabilities that can be exploited to run arbitrary code transparently to the affected user and compromise the system.

Therefore, it is recommendable to update to the new version 7.0.8 of Adobe Reader, especially Mac OS users, due to the potential impact of the vulnerabilities corrected.
