Our Grand Opening of the Four Deuces took place Saturday, March 10, 2007 in Massachusetts. As the Baroness and acting host, I enjoyed every moment of the planning and preparation! I actually could not wait to wear a tiara, the sole reason I chose to be the Baroness.
I was thrilled, and stunned - to see that I could easily match the perfect guest to a character's description. I mailed the invitations about five weeks before the big night. I knew the six couples had already set aside the evening, but realized they would want some time to piece together some absolutely award-winning, authentic outfits.
About a week later, a flurry of hilarious emails followed my emailing of the 1920s Slang Dictionary to all the guests. To keep up the suspense, I then sent out a file on how to do the Charleston. Finally, my husband and I made up some cryptograms and emailed these as passwords to enter the Speakeasy.
Decorating the house was so much fun! I ordered white hand towels for both bathrooms, with Four Deuce.
