Hi Mary Lee - I forgot to write to you after the party and I just wanted to let you know everyone had a great time! They all said that they were a little unsure about the idea beforehand, but were really surprised at how fun it was. We played 50's music all night which really gave the evening a fun feeling. Everyone really got into their characters and we all just really had a blast. Thanks so much and please keep me up to date as you develop new games!!- Gina D.
Thank you so much for your assistance! I appreciate how quickly you helped me out when I needed it. The event was a success and we had so much fun! We had a blast at the murder mystery! Thanks again,- Sheila
Hi Mary! Just wanted you to know we had a great Class of '57 Reunion. We had Sonic bring us burgers and tots, and we added cokes in bottles, root beer floats, and Rice Krispie treats. You're kit made everything so easy to carry out. Everyone had a great time and suggested we make the murder mystery dinner an annual event! Thanks!
I also gave your website address out to 2 people that were so impressed they wanted to do a mystery dinner with another group

I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that we had the party yesterday, and I'm very pleased (and relieved) to say that it was a great success! Everyone really enjoyed themselves and made a great effort with costumes etc. I also hadn't realised that I worked with such talented actors and actresses!
Thanks again! Kerry

Our Class of 57 Killer Reunion was June 14. We held our reunion in the dining hall at a YMCA camp. The night before the reunion, the girls got together and decorated in the 50s theme. We decorated in pink, teal and black, we hung old 45 records from the beams, displayed a model of a 57 Chevy and other memorabilia from our college years. For reunion photos we even had a stand up Elvis to pose with us.
We played this Murder Mystery game with a fellowship group from our church. We found Class of 57 A Killer Reunion very easy to use with our multi-aged group and with participants signing up at the last minute. The first 12 participants that signed-up to play were given the core roles. The remaining participants were given the add-on roles. My husband and I took add-on roles so we could be emergency substitutes for core roles if needed (it wasnt). 23 characters and a handful of observers participated in the evening and most went all-out with their costumes from poodle skirts to anti-alien hats. Jenny being the doting wife she is, had even made up campaign buttons and fliers for Johnnys campaign for governor. Jenna Feline brought her cat Princess who was wearing a crown!
Our evening began with catching up on what everyone was up to and gossip about the tragic news of Davids death just a few days before our reunion. Davids tribute to the class of 57 was displayed on an easel in the entryway. We had a traditional dinner of burgers, fries and milk shakes. After dinner our detectives presented evidence. Then we all mingled, bribing and gathering information in anyway we could. Many of our add-on characters had as much fun just being their character as trying to solve the murder mystery. Tragically there was another murder just as we were about to wrap up the evening, that added quite an unexpected twist.
In the end we all made our guesses about who had murdered David, we also voted on the best costume and actor at that time. Prizes for the winners were 1950s matchbox cars for the character with the most money and for the best actor and Barbie size 1950s outfits for the best costume. All winners got certificates. Sally Forth had the most money in the end, because so many characters paid her for any information she could see, she ran quite a scam!
The only thing I would do differently next time, with a group a large as ours, is introduce the characters-perhaps over dinner, something brief to orient everyone. We did have nametags and that helped a lot to keep everyone straight. Everyone had a great time and are still talking about the evening. Pictures are very popular! They all want to know when the next Murder Mystery will be. In another building at camp we had all our kids together with a babysitter, they all were most upset they could not play too, so we are already planning for a kids version Murder Mystery. We found the game lots of fun, and very flexible for our diverse group. Thanks for a great time!

Mary,
I had my party with the 1957 reunion this past Saturday. It was a blast! I hosted it at a restaurant that already had a 1950's theme. They provided the pop, pizza's, and other snacks. My mother bought some 50's candies from one of your links, and one of our friends provided 50's music including Christmas music. He did a fabulous job, and everybody was dancing while they were scheming. The wealthiest person ended up with $1,800.00! She really utilized her information well.
Since everyone was new to the game, it took awhile for them to warm up to how to play. However, by the end of the game everyone said they would love to do another Murder Mystery, and I had to pass out your web links.
My only wish was that I had enough time to setup all the decorations and extras that I had in mind to. The place we had it hosted gave me limited time to decorate, and I was very sick the day before.
However, I used your Party Pages, and I am including a link for you to see how we all dressed. I am in the first picture with my husband. I decided to dress up like Marilyn Monroe to bring laughs for everyone.
I would definitely do this again!! Thanks
