Murder at the Four Dueces a party to die for!

Postby beckielynn » November 3rd, 2008, 8:20 pm

Don and Madame MeMe just held the Grand Opening to the Four Dueces this past Saturday, November 1st, 1920. As guest arrived they were greeted by the Four Dueces bouncer Al Capone. As Al searched the guest to make sure they weren't packing any heat they needed to know the password to get in to this much awaited occasion. The password was Hair of the Dog (1920's translation: a shot of alcohol) if they did not have their passwords they needed to bribe or for the ladies give Al a kiss on the cheek. As guest mingled upstairs of the Four Dueces they were then escorted to the underground secret rooms of the Four Dueces (our basement). Just as Big Jim was about to make his announcement the lights went out and a loud bang was heard and as soon as Madame Meme turned on the lights Big Jim was found slouched over with one single bullet wound to the head. The Inspector took full control and immediately started the questioning. Even after the unfortunate event of Big Jim’s passing, the guests did their best to enjoy the night. The card table was busy and the Gentleman's Entertainment Room was kept busy as the ladies strut their stuff on the dance pole. Many other murders took place on what was suppose to be a grand event. Unfortunately, the Four Dueces was raided by the Feds and everyone was taken to prison you can see some of the infamous mug shots below.

Everyone had a great time and can't wait for part 2. I'm just hoping someone else decides to host it so I can play along too! Everyone was in character and before the end of the night people were bribing others to buy the weapon cards so they could have a chance to murder someone. One guest found 3 of the 4 weapon cards so by the end she won for the person with the most money! I did do the Scavenger Hunt and it worked out pretty good. All the information was very detailed and as long as you follow all the instructions your party will be a sucess. With my guest some waited to the last minute to read their booklets (even after the million emails I sent them to read it before the party) so they were cramming all the info in and kept asking me questions. So just remind your guest to read it and as the host follow the instructions and everything will go smoothly!

Love the photos! You would think people would take 15 minutes to read the booklets, but no.... they will spend 1/2 a day picking out costumes for the party, but a few minutes of reading up on what they will be doing, is just too much

You know, you could play a secondary character and still host.
