Murder at the Four Deuces - 11/1/08

This was my first Murder Mystery party and what a great choice! I had so much fun with costumes, decorations, and music! The characters are absolutely superb! We had 18 guests and allowed three and a half hours. Everyone agree that wasn't enough, we were having so much fun.

We have a three level house that worked perfectly for the club. Downstairs was the casino complete with dance floor, mid-level was a lounge with food and drink, and upstairs held a three room brothel (we placed "occupied" signs on rooms we didn't want people to enter and "vacant" signs on rooms that were available). We used candles and white christmas lights for lighting most of the house except the brothel which was lighted in red.

Everyone arrived ready for a good time. Madam Meme made her welcome speech and "rules" for the evening. From then on everything went smoothly. Big Jim gathered everyone for his announcment and was suddenly killed! Carrie Crooner screamed hysterically but managed to recover enough to flirt with some of the men. Even now I don't know about all the skeeming and bribery that went on!

Sadly Madam Meme was found dead in her own brothel, stripped of all her cash. Carrie Crooner and Big Jim's daughter, Rebecca Ravioli, fought openly, each accusing the other of murdering Big Jim. In the end only two people correctly guessed the murderer (who was very proud to have hidden the fact so well) and no one wanted to stop playing their part.

We had such a wonderful time and will definately be doing this again! Thank you for writing such a great game and making it so easy for the hosts to organize. Everyone had all their information and we (the hostesses) were able to play without knowing anything the guests didn't know.

Thanks so much for sharing! The Four Deuces is such an awesome game. As I wrote it, I should not say that, but it really is outstanding!
