Winner! Murder at the Four Deuces Housewarming Party: 9/7/13

Spoilers Removed. My roommate and I had recently moved across the country, from New York to Los Angeles, and wanted to have a fun and unique housewarming party for us and all our friends who also recently made the move after we all graduated from college. After much debate over what game to purchase and where, we were won over by the appeal of Dinner and a Murder's Four Deuces. We knew the girls would love getting all dressed up in 1920's fashion and the boys would get so into playing mobsters and gangsters.

The night started promptly at 8 pm with my roommate as Madam Meme welcoming everyone to her "establishment" and passing out their character packets.

Everyone mingled and schemed, while snacking on the treats everyone brought for the evening. Big Jim yelled at a lot of people, Carrie Crooner-Raviolli was called a few more colorful variations of the word "floosie" and Madam Meme and her husband could be seen bringing various people into her room of the brothel and no one would speak of what happened when they came out.

The Baroness and the Congressman. What could they be talking about?

We began getting into the swing of things right when Big Jim clinked his glass and the lights shut off! A balloon popped and all of a sudden Big Jim was lying on the floor. His daughter became very distraught.

The Inspector presented the evidence and from there things got intensive. We weren't able to find one weapon card (our landlord hid it and as of now it's still a bit of a mystery) but that didn't stop the murders from happening! Within the first minute of the weapon card scavenger hunt being over, Vicky Ravioli was found dead on the ground. Interestingly enough most people could have sworn she was just talking to her secret beau. Madam Meme bribed and extolled money (or attempted to) from every character, luring them into her room or using her husband to force them in. Rhett Bumbler flashed his cards at every opportunity and no one could quite get a straight answer from Cash Steal as to what he was doing here or who he knew.

Once things began winding down, everyone was handed their "whodunit" sheet and began guessing and voting. Out of the 15 guests at the party only 3 of them guessed!

Don Wannabe, Capo "Toto" Tequila, and Mayor Bumpkin correctly guessed the murderer!

Xxxxxxxxxxx owned up to the murder quite quickly, and was taken somewhat quietly by Inspector Nutella.

All in all, we had an AMAZING night and are already planning our next Murder Mystery party!
