Inspector & New Character

This will be my first murder mystery party and I am feeling slightly overwhelmed; although very impressed with how organised the pack is (I downloaded it so I could see it instantly and start giving out characters)

My first question is; does the Inspector need to be an outgoing person? Is he involved in the game as much as the other characters?

Is it very important to assign new characters to those that are murdered? I am just concerned that this will get confusing.

The Inspector should be someone at least a little outgoing as they need to approach and question everyone and talk publicly before everyone when they present the evidence and the solution.

The reason we have you assign new characters to those murdered is so they aren't left sitting on the sidelines no longer able to play the game. This would not be an ideal situation for them or your party. Besides each new character assigned brings more secrets and intrigue into your party.
