The Four Deuces Teen

Postby Sandra » November 26th, 2004, 12:06 am

I purchased Murder at the Four Deuces for TEENS for my son's 16th
birthday party. We had the party this past Saturday, and I can't begin
to tell you what a WONDERFUL event it was!

I wasn't sure if a bunch of image-conscious teenagers would step up to
the plate and dress their parts, and really get into the game. I had
nothing to worry about, let me tell you! The young ladies were beautiful
in their flapper dresses and other costumes, and the young men in their
suits and tuxedos were so handsome! Some had dresses made just for the
party, and one even rented one!

Two of my adult friends filled in at the last minute for young ladies
who couldn't attend, and I even had to step in when one girl couldn't
make it and it was time to get started!

The teenagers got into character the minute the game began, and I have
never seen so much conniving and sneaking around. They were wonderful.
An additional 7 characters got murdered, and I laughed and laughed at
their acting. Both my friends who filled in had a total blast (and both
got murdered!)

I just don't know when I have had so much fun! This was a wonderful
idea. I understand one of the young men has already e-mailed you about
other games. Before the evening was done, the kids were talking about
when to have another one, and they are all wearing their costumes to
school this Friday for Halloween.

I told all my friends about it at work, and they are wanting to have a
party for the adults!

Thank you again for such a wonderful product. My son's 16th birthday
party will be something he, and my husband and I, will never forget.

I sing in a women's chorus, and I look forward to the 'women only' game
you are working on. That would be fun for our group. There are many,
many women's groups around, and all-female games would be wonderful, and
in demand, I think!

Once again, thank you!

With highest regards,

Sandra

My input

Hi, my mother recently purchased Murder at the Four Deuces for teens for my 16th birthday. We held the event this past Saturday. I would like to let you know how much we enjoyed it!

We started by simply mingling around until everyone arrived, and then our former selves simply ceased to exist. My mom loved the effort put into the costumes and characters by my friends, and my dad loved serving as a bartender at our Four Deuces. We lost at least 9 people, possibly 10, through our “murderousâ€

My Friend's Party

Postby emenem10 » March 28th, 2008, 6:43 pm

I just recently held my birthday party (Death by Choclate) and it was a hit! My friend is interested in doing this kit but she has a questions first. How did the guys of your parties step up to the plate? We are not sure how well this will pan out if the guys she wants to invite will not fully get into the game. Although I must say, at my party even the most introverted of friends seemed into the game. Thanks for your help!

From my experience, boys and men both, are MUCH easier to get to participate if you play Murder at the Four Deuces. It usually doesn't take much convincing to get any guy to play a Gangster from the roaring twenties. Playing a gangster seems Manly, not at all Sissy. I know these words seem childish, but we all know that men are little boys in large bodies  They might not say it out loud, but they will be much more willing to go to a murder mystery party, once they know they get to play a gangster. I have actually seen it happen more than once. A guy is invited to a murder mystery party and he expresses reluctance, and then you tell him it is a gangster game, suddenly their eyes light up and they say, well I guess I could try it. It is just funny to watch.
