I just purchased Killer Reunion and am using it as a surprise for my husband's 40th. This is my first murder mystery anything, so I really don't know what to expect. When assigning characters, do you leave the real couples as couples in the game or should you mix them up or does it not matter?

I would leave them as couples in the game, if possible.

OK OOPS I'm beginning TO PANIC - - I've just assigned the characters but haven't' given them out yet - - everyone is confirmed attending but I've mixed up the couples - - you see I have 8 men and 12 women - - I've bought the extra female pack so have allocated 2 extra females from there. - will this work or should I go back to the drawing board and assign the couple to the couple characters?

You really should assign couples to the couples. I do have games where you do not do this, but I give instructions on which characters to assign the couples to. Realtionships can really have an effect on how a person plays their character and interacts with another character. Unless stated otherwise, you should always assign couple characters to a real life couple.
