question regarding the murder of Don

Postby fellowman » June 18th, 2008, 10:03 am

Hi,
We are playing the game for the first time next week with about 30 people.
Hopefully it will go fine, although we are not native english speaking (we are all from Denmark).
Anyway, I have a question regarding the murder of Don. Because it will not be dark here until 10 pm, we cannot turn out the light and pretend he got shot. I was thinking about using pretend posion instead, so he could make a toast, take a sip and fall down dead.
How will this change affect the game with regards to evidence ect.?
Is there anything we should be aware of regarding clues?

Thank you.
I will make sure to let you all know how it went down.

We have hosted it in broad daylight before. What I did was this: When it was time for the murder to take place, I got everyone's attention and then told everyone to close their eyes and to keep them closed until you tell them to open them. You then tell them to imagine that the lights just went out. Pop the balloon or whatever you need to do. Wait for the Don to fall and then tell them to open their eyes now. It is a little out of the game, but everyone there knows it is still just a game

We are doing this in October for 50 people and it will also be light out. I plan on having remote start table sparklers/fireworks and having the fireworks go off instead of the gun shot when the lights go out. It's a cheap and surprising distraction.

That is a great idea. While everyone is looking up, the Don can fall down!
