Dinner and a Murder Mystery Games

Just want to make sure before I order "Class of 57" that it can work for a TOTAL of 10 people?? It mentions that it will work for 10-20 guests, but does that include the host? Can the host also participate as one of the characters?

It will work for 10 and that does include the host, who should play a character.
