Main Characters

So who are the main characters? We bought the boxed set (it hasn't arrived yet) and we only want to invite 10 people (5 guys/5 girls). I have the character list of 21 characters. How do I know which 10 are the main characters that I can use (and discard the remaining 11 on the list)?
