Immortal Murders. What is a Scion?

My roommate and I are hosting the Immortal Murder Party for Halloween, we are assigning characters, but we are kind of confused on what a “scionâ€

It is a being who has been bonded to a Vampyr. They will receive some of the Vamps abilities, but they are usually controlled by the Vamp too.
