Weapons...

I read in either the host guide or a character booklet that weapons should not be used. Why is this?

#1: That is dangerous & I would not attend a murder mystery party if someone were carrying a real weapon.

#2: If you are just using play weapons then someone might see it and mistake it for a real weapon and call the police.

#3: We use a weapons card system for commiting murder. There is no reason for anyone to carry a weapon, real or fake.

You are very welcome! There was actually an incendent a few years ago in a restaurant that had a private murder mystery party. Some people saw a man brandishing a weapon and they called the police and everyone was ducking under tables! It was a tense incident & proved completely why you should never even bring prop weapons to a murder mystery party. All it takes is one bystander without a clue to muck up your party
