Time Restraint

Postby carrier2027 » September 16th, 2009, 11:19 pm

Quick question. If I was to purchase this... Is there a way to cut it down. I would be getting Murder at the four dueces tame.

Let me explain. We have these quarterly celebrations at work. We only have 2 hours to present stuff in. We theme them and everyone comes dressed. This time it would be as people from the roaring twenties. We have about 150 people. This time we only have 1 1/2 hours. We give awards out that we come up with titles for and such.

Could this be purchased and tore apart so that the hosts, the team that puts it on could be the characters and each table could try to solve the mystery? We could give them character bios ahead of time via email. Each table could work together to come up with the answer. Acting can be incorporated but will have to be cut down as we still have some business to present. Say between awards two of the people come up and act out a part. Also the clues can be wrote and put on the buffet table or one on each table, etc. Clues can also be in the award titles. We have clever ways of incorporating things into the awards. If people are paying attention they will get the clue.

Since I am not sure how this works can anyone tell me if this seems possible?

Thanks a lot!

Will you be including a meal in that time 1.5 hours frame?

Buffet, yes. Usually they just have 15 minutes to get ffot and come back to their tables. Then we start awards again, etc.

So is the buffet and the awards included in this 2 hour time frame?

That is asking a lot in that short of a time frame. It seems to me with the food and awards, you would have less than an hour for the murder mystery portion and I just would not recommend that. Our games normally take 2.5-3 hours easily. While this does include food, part of the game plays out over food and is planned around it. It is the awards thing that makes me think this will just be too short. I am sorry, but I don't think our games will work for your time frame.
