Two classes ninety minutes each

Postby tferstle » December 2nd, 2006, 1:50 pm

I am planning two class periods for my detective fictions to play the game. Can I split up the game this way? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks.

How long is each period & will the same group be doing it over both periods?

These generally take 2-3 hours to run through, longer if you spend more time pondering things. If they can show up, and start in an INSTANT when the class starts, and rush things through, you might be able to get it done.

But if classes are "standard" (an hour to an hour and a half) then you might want to consider drawing it out over 2 days. While this means they have to keep silent during the time between them (no giving out secrets!), it would allow you do the entire thing in-class.

The best idea, if you don't have time, is to try and organize it outside of class, if possible, and run it through all at once.

Are these 2 class periods consecutive or over days?

Thanks for the comments....I've been reading up, and I am thinking that I can get through the murder, weapons search, and meal (we're having pizza) on one day...then come back for the second day to present evidence and let the students/guests try to figure it out...
Thanks for any further suggestions,

That sounds good. Many B&B's do these and they split things up in that type of way.
