Immortal Murders game

I just purchased this game, which indicated it was for 8 - 20 players. Now that I'm reading the instructions, it seems that they mean 8 - 20 guests, and I only have six guests coming. My husband and I will be numbers 7 & 8. There are 10 characters in red in the Guest List Worksheet. Is it possible to leave two characters out, and if so, which ones should we leave out? Thanks for any help.

We do it this way, becuase in almost every instance the hosts also play a character. If you will read, 2 of the characters are more of an orange and these are to be assigned as the second character of the 2 characters that will be murdered. 8 total can play it just fine. Just read through the instructions carefully and you will understand it better.
